What is WhyTry? WhyTry is a 10-week course that typically runs 1.5 hrs two days per week for ten weeks.
Who is this course for? This course is for people who have been out of work, don’t know what to do, where to go for help and are discouraged. This course is for people who may feel anxious and/or isolated and need connection.

What does this course provide? This course will provide many fun ways to develop life skills, re-motivate, build resiliency, while creating a supportive, community atmosphere. It utilizes many methods to engage participants – metaphors are a primary tool, music, visual analogies, games, journaling, homework, art, group activities and discussions are all part of this exciting course.

What will you take away from WhyTry? This is a course about building supports from within yourself and your community; where people can participate as much or as little as they feel comfortable doing, while remaining in an accepting, caring atmosphere.

Social Media

Social Media is revolutionizing job search, employer recruitment and selection! Develop a plan to make social media work for you! This 4-hour workshop will include an orientation and overview on optimizing various social  medias, as well as a hands on component to practice what you learn.

The hands on component focuses between Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and other applicable social media platforms, with each topic alternating be-weekly.
